Keppel Hill Bunker

Hi Blog,

Today was my day off in lieu. Instead of sitting at home, I decided to step out and explore a bit. Where should I go today?

Today's weather was beautiful. I shouldn't waste this opportunity. Even though I felt burned out from visiting the same place, I told myself I should revisit some places to see the updates. Today I decided to explore Keppel Hill.
Previously, I had visited Keppel Hill many times, and I still love its quiet and all its possibilities.

Get Out of Jail Free

Hi Blog,

This post was published late on 29th November, but I decided to distribute my content evenly and took my time to draft it. Recently, the weather has been rainy, and I had a location in mind to visit, but my plans depended on my weekend availability and the weather conditions.

Fortunately, Heaven allowed me to step out to explore!
There is a place I won't name, but it's somewhere I want to visit before it disappears. While I may not have many details about this location, my intention is to preserve its memory. It has been an interesting part of my entire exploration experience.

Forgotten Gun Pit

Good morning Blog,

These days, we are having the monsoon season, and it will affect whether I can go for an exploration or if there are any new explorations in Singapore.

After conducting research, I identified a location to explore, and with assistance, I have refined it to a specific site.
Funny enough, when I woke up, the weather was all moody, but I decided to wait a bit to see if I’d get a thumbs up from Heaven for my adventure today. Looks like I was good to go!

Veranda Banyan Revisit

TGIF Blog,

Something random and impromptu that I did today: I had a blood test appointment in the morning, and since it was a school holiday, I had taken last year's leave to clear. Hence, I decided to clear my leave.

Now was the headache part; where should I cover?
Based on the title, I suppose you know where I'm heading. In fact, there are so many places in my mind to visit, so why did I pick that place? I will explain along the way. You can read my previous exploration of this place (blog link), if you missed it.

Revisit Nee Soon House

Hi Blog,

I awaited ideal conditions and a suitable chance to undertake today's expedition – the Nee Soon house. (not the actual name) In the previous post, I attempted exploration but was thwarted by a sudden rush of diarrhoea and was unable to locate the entrance.

Looking good today.
I had a feeling that today could be successful. I attempted to research the house online, but I only found pictures shared on Reddit. Nothing more towards it.

Abandoned Sport Complex

Hi Blog,

Initially, J alerted me and suggested today's exploration. Still, I had heard a lot of news about this location and was hesitant to go because I felt uneasy about visiting it. But after some encouragement from Chasing Peak, I decided to try it.

Today seemed like the perfect day to go exploring.
Sorry for digressing; I considered posting this on my blog at a later date, but my blogging principles said no! So I determined to stick to it. Anyway, today's vibe was different, so I went to check it out without any expectations.

Finding a Way In

Hi Blog,

I mentioned my failed hike in one of my September 2024 posts, so I decided to give it another try today! I read something about that place in the Straits Times and felt compelled to return.

What a beautiful, sunny morning! Thanks, Heaven, for this nice weather.
If you clicked on the Straits Times news, you would know where I wanted to go. Yes, it is the Oil Refinery Factory that I visited in 2023.

Adam or Sime Abandoned House

Hi Blog,

One of my friends showed me a picture of an abandoned building that he thought I might be interested in. After enquiring further, he only mentioned the road and ended there; I have been there before, so it is time to return.

It seemed like a good weather today!
It has been a while since I visited an abandoned place. I have missed the thrill of exploration, particularly during the COVID years.

Thomson Nature Park Again

Hi Blog,

I had intended to visit the old uncle's banyan tree but I chose to meet an old friend who was available that morning instead. He used to volunteer at the park, bringing people around, and he had previously visited Thomson Nature Park.

So why not meet him and give me a private tour of Thomson Nature Park?
Thomson Nature Park is not new to me or any of my readers (if any); however, it is a relatively new park that has a special place in my heart.

Failed Woodland Hike

Good Morning Blog,

I was supposed to meet a friend in the morning and then go to an afternoon event, but I discovered some work hiccups yesterday. Fortunately, I discovered it sooner rather than later, or through an audit...

I will go down to the woodland industry to fix the problem, so... why not I explore some of the woodland forest?
The reason I went exploring was because I wanted to revisit the abandoned factory, but I had heard that we could only get there through the forest.

More Yishun Forest

Good Morning Blog,

The long weekend was rainy, so I couldn't go for a short hike. But today looks like a great opportunity! So where am I going then?

I had the pleasure of using my new camera and capturing some shots. I must say, it's a great investment! The colour and clarity are just perfect!
Today, I opted to revisit Yishun Forest, and I'm grateful that Elmo (who stays nearby) decided to join me on this little adventure.

Serapong Unknown Ruins

Good Morning Blog,

Recently, I've observed a team of urban explorers venturing into lesser-known areas in Serapong. Two of them, including the Chasing Peaks blogger, disclosed the location 📍 to me.

I thought to myself that I would try it on my own.
However, I need more confidence to proceed alone, as my intuition advises against it. Luckily, some fellow explorers mentioned they were heading there, so I wanted to tag along to be safe.

Revisiting Labrador Nature Park

Good morning Blog,

Today was a public holiday! Yippee! 😂 The best part was that it was sunny in the morning, so we could go hiking!

Last night, my elder brother invited me to go over to his house and help him with the game he was playing, so I stayed overnight at his place.
When I woke up, I thought about going for a hike. Should I try a new place even though the ground is wet from last night's rain? Or stick to the old place?

Fort Canning Battlebox SG

Hi Blog,

As a novice in urban exploration, I plan to visit a location that would be a dream for urbex enthusiasts if not for the organized group facilitating the place.

So where am I talking about? It is at Fort Canning Battlebox.
Within Fort Canning Hill is a WWII bunker built on the hill to operate as commanding HQ during the wars. For historical reasons, it is maintained by the government rather than leaving it to rot and be forgotten.

Tiong Bahru Air Raid Shelter

Good Morning Blog,

Today's trip was suggested by one local blogger - Chasing Peaks, HY. She knows that I will love such a trip, and credit to her if I didn't know this; I might have missed this opportunity.

So what opportunity was this?
It was Exploring Tiong Bahru hosted by Eventbrite, they have a tour to explore Tiong Bahru's history and Air Raid! Best of all, it's free!

Rainbow Village

Hi Blog,

Continuing to Day 5 in Taiwan, we arrive at our final destination in our itinerary. No more stress from winding roads—just time to chill and relax.

A beautiful day suggests smooth sailing ahead.
Time to go for a simple shopping trip before we returned to Singapore.

Return to Serapong & Tanjong Rimau

Good morning Blog,

Recently, I saw an urbex post a few pics about her visit to Serapong, and it was a completely different location. In fact, Serapong has a lot of hidden locations which I have yet to cover. Next time, I will try to find them and put them on the map.

Today was blessed with good weather, so I arranged a visit to Serapong to find the hidden gems and meet up with Mr. Loh's group to visit Tanjong Rimau because today is also the lowest day of the month. I just hope it won't rain..
It was difficult to find a weekend to have the lowest tide during the day and fell on a weekend. Usually, the lowest tide will happen during the night, so my chance will be halved. If I want a weekend, that will be a 2/7 chance. To access there during the lowest tide, that will only happen during lunar days (2/30 days). Lastly, only under the conditions that I am available. So it is rare.

Finding Haw Par Beach Villa

Good Morning Blog,

Today's trip was an exciting one which I had been looking forward to. I read and saw picture posts by hikers of this place - Haw Paw Beach Mansion. (you can read more of it in Remember Singapore) I had been to Coney Island a few times, but I don't remember spotting any building structures, which means they are hidden from sight.

Today's weather seemed promising. Why did I say that? Because from the past photos of the hikers, they will have muddy shoes for sure. I hope that if we really find it, the dry weather will reduce the chance. I hate mud.
But first, whether I can find it or not... That's one of the most important factors. Let's go!

Embracing My Imperfections

Hi Blog,

Today I decided to go for a short hike, a small me-time moment to do some reflection.

Today's weather was rather good and welcoming. Let's go hiking!
I've been doing some thinking lately, and I decided to write a not-unfamiliar content (even though my readers had already known and become numb with my nonsense). You may skip it if it isn't interesting.

Thomson Nature Park + Inner Thoughts

Good Morning Blog,

2023 was coming to an end, I thought of going for a short hike somewhere else to have some deep reflection. Extracted contents from my main blog page. This will not be focus on Thomson Nature Park, but rather having some self-reflection over something which in my head for a long time.

Clear weather which expressed how I felt today.
I will be expressing my thought process while hiking so it is a long-winded one.
