Alright Blog,
Where were we? Oh, yeah. So, after checking out Sovereign Hill, we headed to our next stop.
It was a different kind of road, and I was admiring how long and twisted it was. I like the road that leads up to the sky because it creates a beautiful image that is both unreachable and reachable. |
Will anything be interesting to look out for at the next location? Should have. I will not make many comments and will let my photos speak for themselves.
The Geelong Waterfront appears to be serene and not overly crowded. |
However, there are a lot of seagulls shxtting on top of the wooden figures. |
They're all over the place here! So cute! They reminded me of the YouTube channel "Feeding Steve". If I had the time and money, I would feed some random animal channel. Haha |
(Credit Sf) Aside from having to endure/deal with food-stealing seagulls, the locals must turn away from this unimpressive-looking model wannabe. Cheer! |
Sf is totally into this port with the sunset, seaside, boats, and water! |
Geelong is a city southwest of Melbourne that resembles Singapore's Sentosa Cove, where the wealthy live; the elitist vibe is less prevalent here, which is a good thing. |
Compared to the port/jetty scene, I prefer the beach scene. Nonetheless, it possesses its own beauty and charm. Haha |
Today's sunset was beautiful, even though I wished for more colours, but that is what it is. |
The busy port appears to be a collection of buildings on its own. |
Geelong has a Giant Sky Wheel 🎡, which I do not want to spend money on because I am already feeling dry. So, just snapping a picture here is sufficient. Haha |
Oh! Beach! |
Err... Nope... The sand appears rough, and the water is rather... |
Some less talented artists drew a giant D for the guests on the Giant Sky Wheel to appreciate their daydream-inspired artwork. |
The sky began to change its hue. |
More wooden human figures! Hey ladies! |
The Eastern Beach Promenade appears to be an enclosed zone where swimmers can enjoy the water without fear of encountering random litter, large fish, or unknown creatures. |
There is a children's pool at Eastern Beach. I thought I could use the pool here, but the sky was dark, and I doubt the parents would want a random Asian who is ugly and untoned around their kids. |
Okay, time for dinner. I tried looking for vegetarian options. The menu at this restaurant, Hecho En Mexico, appeared promising. |
Warning: if you dine outside in Australia, avoid drinking cold beverages as they will only worsen the cold weather. |
Despite my question to the Hecho En Mexico staff about whether the vegetarian dishes contained onion or garlic, the waitress stated that if it is not on the menu, it should not; not surprisingly, I found onion slices. It is my fault for knowing the high possibility and still choosing to dine there, and another reason I chose to dine there is that I do not want to bother Sf because he is not a vegetarian. He chose Geelong because he wanted some good food, so insisting on returning to the city to dine safely would only add to his inconvenience. I am a selfish person who does not have any fish to sell. |
Today's stash includes some gold items and a pendant for myself, assuming they are genuine gold, which I hope they are. |
Today was Singapore's election day, and neither of us could cast our votes since we already had travel plans made long before the general election date was announced. Instead, we experienced something different and just chilled on our bed to watch the live YouTube stream for the sample count, then fell asleep feeling disappointed. Haha. |
Geelong itself is just a simple city with few things to do in a short period. If we had more time, we might explore more places, including Sovereign Hill too...
